Jessie M Photography Privacy Policy
For Jessie M Photography, protecting your personal data is a priority. We comply with all relevant data protection legislation and the following privacy notice is intended to provide transparency about how we handle your personal data.
Who is collecting the data and how is it stored?
Jessica Luck of Jessie M Photography, based in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire collects all data. You can contact me any time on 07932759399 or jessiemphotography@gmail.com. Any electronic data collected is stored on a password protected and anti virus protected Apple Macbook Pro, an encrypted external hard drive and cloud back up software Dropbox. Any hard copies of data obtained are appropriately shredded after being scanned in and put onto the same password protected computer.
What personal information is being collected?
If a photography session or serious enquiry is made with Jessie M Photography, the following information may be collected. However, if any enquiry does not turn into confirmed work then no data is stored, as information is only stored for invoicing purposes.
- Names, ages and gender of the person placing the order or making an enquiry
- Names, ages and gender of any people involved in the photoshoot
- Home/Work addresses of people involved in the photoshoot
- Email address of the person/persons placing the order, involved in the photoshoot or making an enquiry
- Telephone/Mobile phone number of the person/persons placing the order or making an enquiry
- Notes and other details from conversations with the person placing the order or making an enquiry as to provide the best photography service
Any emails, texts or social media messages sent to Jessie M Photography are stored on my phone system, email system and social media accounts. This information will be stored for reference to provide the best service.
How is data collected and why?
Jessie M Photography only collects your data to provide a service. This information is collected from the customer or enquirer upon speaking to Jessie M Photography either through telephone conversations, texts, emails or social media messages. This information is only needed to enable customers to get the best photography experience and allow them to receive their final pictures. How will the data be used?
Any data collected allows me to provide you with my services and products. I do not send regular marketing emails to past clients, nor do I have a mailing list. However if there is a current offer or promotion I feel a past client would be interested in, I may get in touch personally to let them know. You can opt out of receiving any emails from Jessie M Photography that are not linked to the service I am currently providing you any time by emailing jessiemphotography@gmail.com
Photo storage
All jpeg and RAW files are stored on a password protected and antivirus protected Apple Macbook Pro, an encrypted external hard drive and backed up online with Dropbox. Pictures will be stored on at least one of the stated methods indefinitely until copyright ends. Customers can request to have the pictures deleted at any time by contacting jessiemphotography@gmail.com
Who will the data be shared with?
Jessie M Photography will never share or sell any personal data to third parties. The only time your data will be shared is if products are sent to you via the post. This will require that I share your name, address and occasionally contact number with the postal service.
The only other form of personal data that may be shared are photographs taken during photography sessions booked through Jessie M Photography for general promotional purposes on my social media pages, Google business page and other promotional items such as, but not limited to, business cards and flyers. None of the clients personal information obtained by Jessie M Photography is ever disclosed when sharing pictures. How long is the data stored for?
Apart from photographs, the only other personal data stored is on the invoices Jessie M Photography raises for their clients. These are saved on a password protected and antivirus protected Apple Macbook Pro and an encrypted external hard drive. For tax reasons, these need to be stored for a minimum of 5 years. Any other details that may have been obtained through email, texts or social media messaging will be stored on the individual systems used for as long as you are a customer and for an additional 24 months for reference purposes. You can request to have these messages deleted at any time by contacting jessiemphotograpy@gmail.com
Access to data
You may request a copy of all of the data I store of you at any time. If you have any questions regarding the storage of your data, then please get in contact with me at jessiemphotography@gmail.com
What are your rights?
If at any point you believe the information I have of you is incorrect, you can request to see this information and have it corrected or deleted. If you wish to raise a complaint on how I have handled your personal data, you can contact Jessica Luck via email on jessiemphotography@gmail.com who will investigate the matter for you. If, upon contacting Jessica Luck, you are not satisfied with the response, or believe Jessica Luck of Jessie M Photography is not processing your personal data in accordance with the new GDPR law, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
